The Cat House

When I first visited the "Cat House" in late July 2025, I had high hopes of finding a rescue for four 2 month old stray kittens that showed up on my property. I was told that they were at capacity and in the process of moving to a larger facility. I was asked if I could keep caring for them until they moved to the bigger facility. After awhile my calls were not answered. I was very disappointed and felt given false hope. Since then I have reached out to many rescues with no hope. They are now 6½ months old now with no where to go. I had explained to the rescue that I could not keep them because I own a very large 130 lb. Dog that hates cats and wants to harm them. Posted them on Facebook one found a home. Three still need a home.

My sister reached out to this company because she was referred by a friend. She’s in a position she did not expect to be in so suddenly, she has two young kids and fur babies that she’s had since they were babies. She reached out asking for help/resources and someone in this company responded with this tone deaf response; truly should be ashamed by the way you speak to people not knowing their situations. They told her she should live in her car instead of looking for a home for her cats WTH??

I love coming here on some weekends. The volunteers are so nice and the cats are so cute. I always leave so happy since it’s so calm and peaceful here! I wish I could come here more often!

The Cat House is such an amazing place! My fiancé and I recently rescued a feral kitten that we loved but couldn’t keep because we already have 3 cats of our own. We contacted Kelly at the Cat House, as we were eager to find the kitten a home. We are so grateful to her for the love, patience and kindness she showed the kitten when we brought her in. The cats and kittens at the cat house are treated with such care by Kelly and the volunteers. The house is decorated so nicely with different rooms and toys for the cats to play, eat, sleep, etc. A cat lover’s paradise! Please consider visiting and adopting your next furry family member from the Cat House.

I had a wonderful experience at the cat house during their open house hours! There were about 14 cats there when I visited and I was so amazed at the beautiful space that the owner and her volunteers had created for the cats to flourish. The owner Kelly and her volunteers were beyond welcoming as well. I was there to witness someone come in looking to be connected with the perfect cat for her lifestyle and living situation. One of the volunteers had taken her time to assist her and I was so happy to see on Instagram a few days later that the cat was going home with her!! My friends had asked to visit on off hours and the cat house was extremely accommodating, showing they truly care about the cats and finding them the perfect homes! This has been such an amazing addition to our home town area.
